It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Beverly Johnson née Palmeter, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and true friend.
Beverly was predeceased by her loving husband, Glenn Johnson of June 10, 1951 – 2006, her best friend and life partner whom she loved dearly.
She leaves behind her children, a son, Bryan Johnson of 49 and a daughter, Angela Johnson of 46. She also leaves behind Bryan’s partner, Tyler, and Angela’s fiancé, Jacob.
Beverly treasured her family above all else. She lovingly welcomed her daughter-in-law, Cindy Ward 49, as one of her own daughters, and Cindy’s best friend, “Uncle” Scott.
Her greatest joy was being “Grandma” to Jessica Hurst of 23 and Jacob Johnson of 15, whom she loved beyond measure and was incredibly proud of.
Born into a large family of nine children, Beverly shared a lifetime of memories with her siblings. She is survived by two sisters and two brothers and is reunited with the siblings who passed before her.
Beverly spent much of her working life as a waitress and had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome. Her home was always open, the coffee and tea was always on, and no one ever left without being offered food, a drink, and engaging conversation. No words can describe her kindness, generosity, and wonderful sense of humor, which made her the life of the room.
She also leaves behind her cherished lifelong friends, Treena, Judy, and Janet, whose many years of friendship brought her great happiness and joy throughout her life.
Beverly’s warmth, compassion, laughter, and selfless nature touched countless lives. She will be remembered for her generous heart, her unwavering love for family and friends, and her ability to make everyone feel at home. While her passing leaves an immeasurable void, the memories she created and the love she shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Beverly will be forever loved, missed, and always remembered.
