Elaine Louise Lawrence

Elaine Louise (Rieck) Lawrence, age 86, passed suddenly but peacefully April 28th at Chilliwack Hospital, after a long battle with CoPD. She is predeceased by; her husband Eric Lawrence, two children Gerald and Sharon, her parents Fred and Nora Rieck, Sister Mary Hagedorn, and Brother Donald Rieck.

Elaine was a loving mother and will be greatly missed by her surviving children; Debra (Rick) Wheeldon, Darlene Atkinson, Valerie (Perry) Russell, and Ken Lawrence. She will be fondly remembered by her surviving sister Audrey (Doug) Brighton of Hanover, Ont. Elaine has four surviving grandchildren; Chris (Loretta) Atkinson, Amanda (Isaac) Atkinson-Weissig, Dale (Kim) Wheeldon, and Rick (Lisa) Wheeldon. She also has 12 surviving great grandchildren who will miss her dearly.

Elaine was a homemaker and an amazing mother. She will be remembered for her gentle nature, her love of animals and a passion for gardening. She enjoyed creating beautiful stuffed bears, the softest blankets and the warmest slippers that she lovingly made for family. God took her gentle soul to rest.
