Glenn was born on April 17, 1959, in Tisdale, Saskatchewan, before moving to Abbotsford, BC. His working life began at Hub Motor Service, pumping gas, before he found employment at Hamley’s Hatchery delivering baby chicks and ducks. When Hambley’s was later acquired by Lilydale Poultry, Glenn began what would become a remarkable 47-year career in maintenance until his retirement. He was a dedicated worker, a generous mentor, and a respected colleague who made a lasting impact on those around him.
Glenn loved the outdoors—enjoying scenic drives, kids with ice creams in hand, golfing with his friends and sons, and fishing for fun with the kids. He especially cherished family picnics and hikes, where he would pause to help the children search for crayfish and other little creatures. Above all, Glenn valued time spent with his family. He will be remembered for his kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity, always putting others before himself and being there when he was needed most.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Shobna; his former wife, Susan; their children Jessica, Jonathon, Jordon, Jared, and Jaden; and Shobna’s children, Romina and Melvin. He will also be dearly remembered by his siblings Peggy, Bruce (Amanda), and Patty, along with their families. Glenn leaves behind 13 grandchildren, with another soon to arrive. He was predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Madeline, and his brothers-in-law Jim and Pat.
Glenn’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Abbotsford, BC, followed by a reception.
