Helmut Isaak

He leaves to mourn his passing and to celebrate his incredible life; his wife Eve, daughters Gisela and Veronica and sons John and Jeff (Lisa), five grandchildren, family in Paraguay and many friends.

Helmut led a remarkable life of studies in Uruguay and Amsterdam with his late wife Käthe and young family. He obtained his Doctorandis in Theology from the University of Amsterdam; teaching; preaching in 5 different languages in the Netherlands, Paraguay, Germany, Canada, Mexico and Bolivia; missions assignments together with Eve; he was forever humble. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, encouraging and supporting them in their education, and their adventures of life.

Helmut lived his life with fortitude and gratitude, even when Alzheimer's and physical illnesses took hold in the last months of his life. He took it all in stride as part of life which he was assured was in God’s hands.

He will be remembered for his gentle, kind manner; his sense of humour, his laughter, his nonjudgmental sense of caring and compassion for all of mankind.

As he so often said “We are all God’s children”.
