We met Jake & Erna initially through a home group. Later we were privileged to lead a group they hosted. Food, insightful discussion, generosity, humour, commitment to music and education - all centered in an abiding trust in Jesus.
Then there was the time we delivered 5 pound bags of grain from Alberta DIRECTLY to his office in response to a "crisis"!
We were encouraged by our association with both, Jake and Erna.

I met Jake in preparation for MCC BC's Festival for World Relief when he donated a fully restored 1951 International Truck to be auctioned with the proceeds going to support the work of MCC. What a generous man with a quirky sense of humour. May God bless and comfort his family and his friends.
BTW, we asked Jake to pose with "his truck" but he declined :)
