So shocked to learn of Jeff’s passing. By his own admission, he was not a soccer guy but Jeff did everything in his power it offer the kids he managed the best time! 
A wonderful charismatic man with a heart of gold. 
Will be sadly missed by everyone at Abbotsford Soccer Association.

I just found out today that Jeff passed away. 
Omg I was in total shock as was my realtor Kim. I had purchased his condo  in Abbotsford. I met him at the Home show in Chilliwack and I’m so grateful because I love my condo, it’s absolutely beautiful !  Just in May him and his son came by with my Realtor to take some measurements for some work. There were still things that had to be done in condo and so I messaged him on June 2  about when he would want to start the work.  A few days later I had a feeling something was wrong  because it wasn’t like him to not get back to me.  
 Please let me know when there is a funeral or Celebration of life as myself and my realtor  would really love to come. We are both very shocked and sad to hear about his passing, He was so nice and he was funny. He actually told the people who lived in my building that the new person (ie myself) moving in had a pet monkey, He was way too young  for his life to be taken away from him so suddenly  :(. 

Fond memories when Jeff and his son played on the hockey team that I coached.  Jeff accepted the un-enviable role of manager.  He did an excellent job taking care of the boys and the needs of the team.  He was so wonderful to be around- always with a happy spirit…  My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.  Wishing them peace and tranquility during this sad time.  

Sad to hear this news.  Jeff always had time for a chat in or around the arena and owned a wicked sense of humour.  I enjoyed my parent/coach hockey days with him.  Condolences to all those feeling the pain of his loss.  Rest in peace my friend.



Memories are one gift of God that nothing can destroy.  Many wonderful memories flood our mind like the time he was in our home making everyone laugh and the time he sat with me in YVR until my flight at 5AM.  May you be flooded with many wonderful memories.  Our prayers and love go out to you.

   We cannot begin to understand the grief you feel with the passing of Jeff.  We will always remember Jeff as a very kind, fun-loving, generous person, always willing to help in any way he could.  
    Like the time we flew west for a Mr. Rooter seminar and and our luggage went on to Sinapore.   Jeff put us up for a couple of nights and took us  shopping to get the things we needed.  Nothing was an inconvenience in his caring for others.   
    The last time we saw Jeff was a number of years ago when he came to Hamilton for a family wedding.  We are so grateful for the time we were able to spend together at the wedding and in our home.  We still have the facecloths he left us.  Jeff you were loved and will be missed by all. 
   Gail, Art & family you are in our thoughts and prayers as always.

I met Potsie when I was nine and moved to Dauphin from Winnipeg. We were in grade five and became instant friends. I don’t remember calling him Jeff too many times…this was the Happy Days era and the nickname just fit.  His parents Art and Gail were always welcoming to me and great people in the community. Ironically 26 years later I would go on to marry a second cousin of Jeff’s. 

When he moved to BC we did not see each other as much. If was great to catch up every couple of years over a phone call. 

Our condolences go out to his parents as well as brothers Michael and Wayne Potoroka and their families. 



Our heart goes out to the Potoroka  family upon hearing this sad news . Jeff was amazing at supporting his community and could always be counted on to help out .  We shared a love of hockey and will miss seeing him at games. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends .

We spent many years hanging out with Jeff in ice boxes cheering our kids on. He was a key figure in starting up and sponsoring our spring hockey team the 2K Chiefs. We had so many great times, lots of laughs and memories made. He will be missed by many in our hockey community. Hugs.
