Dear Laurie, I was so saddened to hear of Jerry's passing. And Passing indeed it was  from here to the Lord. Glorious for Jerry but I am mindful of how changed life is for you and I know Jesus will walk with you and carry you through this grief and also fulfill His future plans for your life. One of my favorites was when he joined a group of us having breakfast and he was wearing elve ears.  He walked in just as naturally as if he'd always really had these ears, but his eyes were gleaming with the fun of it all.  Jerry you will be missed immensely.  I have one loaf of yours in my freezer and every time I pass the farmers market building I think of you and Laurie.

Jim and I were very sorry to hear about Jerry's passing. Every summer, Jerry would arrive to pick up hay. It was a time for remembering, telling stories, and sharing laughter. Jerry would always have a story to tell about his hunting experiences with our mutual friend, Norm Sacuta. No matter where we met Jerry, we could be guaranteed to have a great visit and laugh. So many memories. 

Well the story begins in the spring of 1967. A moving truck arrives on Ross St. in South Vancouver. It was then that Barry & Ross meet their new neighbour, a 6 year old Jerry Yee. From there on the 3 Amigos would be inseparable. Run a muck up and down the lane or playing in the park, across the street. Jerry had a infectious laugh and was always a prankster back then. The friendship continued through Elementary and High school.
One of the many adventures was:
About 1977 he borrowed his dad's fury car and put it in the ditch in Richmond then called Tim and I to try to get it back on the road using Tim's Datsun car. Not a chance, after we had tried for awhile like a dog trying to pull a bull out of a swamp and just kept springing back, the police came and made us get a tow truck. We paid cash so Jerry's dad wouldn't find out. 
Jerry always worn his heart on his sleeve… the boy who became a man, a husband, a father and a Grandfather…. R.I.P. my friend Jerry, forever in our hearts

We are saddened to hear the news of Jerry’s passing. He was such a fine man and we had so many good memories over the years, of visits at the pool with our kids, at Safeway when he was baking huge delicious cakes for our family gatherings, and we will always remember his smile and positive attitude when visiting over the counter at the farmers market. RIP

I am so sorry to hear of Jerry’s passing. I will miss the phone calls Jerry and I had dozens of times a year for 18 years.  We discussed everything under the sun and shared many things that only good friends would share.  I will miss seeing his name on call display and his cheery voice. 
    There is no doubt in my mind that everyone in the community loved Jerry for the kind and thoughtful guy that he was. I feel comforted knowing he was doing what he loved to do in his retirement. I was always salivating on the phone when he told me his current recipes for the next batch of baking. He was definitely an artist.

Condolences to the family. I remember Gerry from Safeway Bakery, i would always try to give him a hug to pass onto Lorie his wife as we had worked in the same office. It was nice to know he would do it. His bread was fantastic and it was great to see him at the Farmer's Market in FSJ. Was so sad to hear of his passing.
