Dear Gwen, 

I am so sorry to hear of John's passing.  He was such a lovely man.  We so much enjoyed your spontaneous visits to our place in the famous Blue Van.  We loved visiting with you out front and then walking barefoot to visit John waiting patiently in the van.  He always had something funny to say that made us laugh.  We have such fond memories of our encounters with him.

What a joy!    

You two are such a  match made in heaven.  You were so good to one another.  I love the sense of humour and delight you both live with, grateful for the gift of life God gave you both.  Both of you together display a zest for a simple way of being that was lived out for God each day; excited for what He is doing and how your part makes a difference in the world.  

One day you will reunite and what a day that will be! I am so looking forward to seeing him again too.  

You have been on my heart a lot the past few months; I only wish now I would have reached out sooner so we could be with you during this time.  If we can be of any assistance to you at all now, please let us know.  It would be a great privilege to lighten your burden. 

You are so dear to us, we love you both.
