He moved to BC in 1963. Bud worked for KM Weir Ltd until we went into business for ourselves as McAndrew's Home Comfort. We worked together until retirement in 1999. Bud and I enjoyed cycling in our area as well as on the Kettle Valley Railroad trails where we rode the trestles before and after the fire. He loved traveling in our motorhome and being Snowbirds for several years, meeting many lovely people who remain friends today. Our cruise to Alaska was amazing. The last few years Bud's health declined, suffering 2 heart attacks, a serious lung infection and 2 cases of pneumonia, as well as a near fatal car accident we were in where he sustained a serious concussion. Following that he broke his hip and wrist and had surgery. When we retired, we sold the business and our home and moved to join the Avonlea family. He served a few years on the Board as Maintenance.
Bud will be missed by Sharon, his loving and devoted wife of 57 wonderful years.
