Klaas Vanderlinde

Klaas went to be with the Lord and Saviour on July 9, 2026. Klaas was born in Ambt Van Vollenhove, The Netherlands, on April 24, 1927. He immigrated to Canada in 1951 and married the love of his life, Geesje (Grace) Admiraal, December of 1953.

He is survived by his children, Harm (Magdalene), Margaret Van Goor, Fenny Upton, Clara (Bob) de Haan, Clarence (Gerda), Jeff (Corri), 22 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, his sisters, Jenny Dekker, Mary Aikema and Jackie Devries. Klaas was predeceased by his wife, his parents, a brother, sister, and his son-in-law.

When Klaas immigrated, he worked in the sugar beets in Alberta for a year and then moved to the Fraser Valley where he farmed in Sumas Prairie for 30 years.

Sincere thank you to ARC for the care he received in his home, especially to his primary caregiver, Tracey Beg. Also, a big thank you to the staff at TRIM, where Klaas spent his last year.

There will be a memorial service for Klaas Vanderlinde at the Abbotsford Canadian Reformed Church, 33947 King Rd, Abbotsford, BC V2S 7M7, on Thursday, July 16 at 3:00 PM.
