Mel is survived by his lovely wife of 69 years, Sonia and his son, Brent.
Mel built a meaningful career over many years, working at 3M Canada and later as a dedicated realtor, where he was known for his integrity and commitment to the people he served.
In his leisure time, Mel could often be found casting a line on a peaceful stretch of the Vedder River, enjoyed a good game of golf, tending to his garden, or meticulously crafting and flying model aircraft — hobbies that brought him great joy and reflected the patience and care he brought to everything he did.
Mel will be missed by his family and friends.
Gratitude to the staff at Maplewood House in Abbotsford for their care over the last few years. He was a favorite resident among the staff.
