He is survived by his wife of 5 years, Jennifer Hedd, his children from his first marriage, Don Grigg and Maryann Wozniak, their four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Merv is predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Margery Grigg. As the middle of three siblings, Merv is survived by his brothers Harvey Grigg and Brian Grigg.
Merv leaves behind a long record of service to his community including 30 years of teaching elementary school in Langley BC, service with the Kinsmen Association, as well as collecting funds for causes such as UNICEF and the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle. We remember him as a husband, father, grandfather and uncle with a quick wit, available smile and love and care for his family and friends. An avid sports fan, golfer, bridge player and an appreciator of a good bottle of beer. We will miss him always and continue to feel his impact on our daily lives.
