He is survived by Irene his wife of 58 years; children: Lynn Harder, Doug (Dianna), Bob (Elayne), June (Daryl) Klippenstein, and John (Guyla); sister Mary McCurrach; 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Ray was a police officer for 14 years in Vancouver and Matsqui, a Matsqui councilor for 14 years, a member of the Abbottsford Masonic Lodge #70, the Abbottsford Shrine Club #40, the Eastern Star #20 and the Royal Canadian Legion #15.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Henderson’s Funeral Home, at 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the MS Society of Canada or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Cottage Pavilion who cared for Ray over the years.
