Raymond Hugh Passmore

Ray Passmore was born to Hugh and Verna Passmore on August 2nd 1932 in Lafleche, Saskatchewan. His siblings were Melvin (deceased), Gladys (deceased), and Earl. Ray started school in Lafleche and completed his high school in Coronach, Saskatchewan. After graduation he completed Bible School in 1954 at the Coronport Bible School in Saskatchewan. Ray accepted the Lord as his savior when he was 16 years of age – through listening to the “Back of the Bible" broadcast, and was baptized at a later date. Ray loved the Lord and rarely missed a Bible study or Church Service. He was a devoted and caring husband and father – often buying Stella flowers to show his affection, and goodies for the grandchildren. He prayed a lot for his family’s needs. After completing Bible School, he was employed by the Woodriver School division office doing payroll and clerical work – where he worked for 33 years. He married Stella Passmore in 1974. After a year they were blessed with a lovely daughter, Janice Rae and later with a wonderful son-in-law Aaron. They have 3 grandchildren Brandon, Jonny and Kaden. Upon Ray’s retirement the family moved to the Abbotsford area – a move he thoroughly enjoyed. Ray passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on February 15th 2013. We mourn our loss, but are comforted by the fact that he is in a better place – probably singing very heartily with the angels in heaven. He will be greatly missed but we can look forward to the day when we will meet again in Heaven. We claim the promise in 2 Corinthians 12:9 My grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.

Raymond Passmore passed away suddenly into the presence of his Lord on Wednesday, February 14, 2013 at the age of 80. He was born in Lafleche, Saskatchewan on August 2, 1932 to Hugh and Verna Passmore.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife Stella, daughter Janice (Aaron) Grafstrom, grandsons Brandon, Jonathan and Kaden, brother Earl (Beryl) Passmore. He was predeceased by his brother Melvin Passmore and sister Gladys Gray.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Clearbrook MB Church, 2719 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford, BC. Pastor Ron Berg officiating.
