Ron Romero

He is survived by 3 children: Dan, Melissa and Chelsea (John); 4 grandchildren: Madeline, Isabella, Noella and Nadiya; and 5 siblings: Susan (Rod), June, Caroline (David), Wendy (Clive) and Pete.

Ron was a gentle and kind man with a big heart. He was laid-back, always happy and smiling, making him so easy to be around and to talk to. As the easy-going parent, Ron was often in cahoots with Chelsea when she was into mischief, the both of them keeping these things from Mom. He was a great sport when being teased by friends, never getting upset, just laughing along with everyone. Ron had an appreciation for art and was a great artist himself, in particular with his soapstone carving. He loved the outdoors, gardening and fishing with friends. Gatherings with his family were the best times of Ron’s life, becoming that much sweeter with the addition of his 4 granddaughters, whom he adored.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 30, at 1:00 pm at Henderson’s Funeral Home at 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC.

Donations in memory of Ron may be made to BC Cancer Foundation or to Parkinson Society Canada.
