Stewart James Adams

Stewart “Stew” Adams of Abbotsford, B.C., passed away on March 30, 2023 at 73 years old. He is survived by the love of his life, Darlene, his son Jim Adams and wife Joy, his daughter Melissa Larricq and husband Corey, as well as his beloved grandchildren, Evan, Karly and Nolan. Stewart will also be greatly missed by his brothers Graham and Alan, as well as his nieces and nephews, and his extended family and friends.

Stewart was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1950 to his parents James & Margaret Adams and moved to Canada in 1956 to Brandon, Manitoba where he met his wife, Darlene. They were married in 1968 and briefly lived in Lloydminster before settling in Abbotsford in 1973.

Stewart worked as a draftsman and building estimator for all of his life for various companies and most recently with Linwood Homes, up until the day of his passing. Through his life he enjoyed spending time with his family and going for dinner together, golfing, travelling, playing pool and watching football. He loved his wife, children & grandchildren with all his heart and they were the most important part of his life. He will be missed tremendously by all that knew him.

A celebration of Stewart’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
