Theodor Neudorf was born in Filadelfia, Paraguay, to Ernst and Adina Neudorf. From early on, he displayed the determination, resilience, and strength of character that would define his life. On June 22, surrounded by his wife and four children, Ted passed away in Abbotsford, leaving behind a legacy of faith, perseverance, hard work, and deep devotion to those he loved.
Ted was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Karin, whom he met in Asunción, Paraguay. Their love story began there and blossomed into a marriage in 1994 that would span more than three decades. Together they built a life centered on Jesus, family, commitment, and unwavering support for one another through every season of life.
He was a proud and devoted father to Neal (Karli), Priscila (Christopher), Dylan (Hailey), and Natasha (Isaiah). Nothing brought Ted greater joy than watching his children grow and build families of their own. He treasured his role as grandfather to Felix, Esther, Scout, Sailor, Ellowen, Laurel, and Kipp, who brought immense happiness and laughter into his life.
Ted is also survived by his mom, Adina, and his siblings, Melanie (Heinz) and Edgar.
His educational journey started in Asunción, Paraguay, and after immigrating to Canada with his family, Ted completed high school in Abbotsford. In his late teens, he got baptised at Kingroad Church, followed by attending Bible school and pursuing two years of university studies in Winnipeg before earning his Bachelor of Business from Trinity Western University.
Following his studies, Ted worked in his father's truss company, gaining valuable experience and developing a strong work ethic. In 1991, he returned to Paraguay, embracing entrepreneurship. He first owned and operated a clothing business and later founded an air conditioning business.
After twelve years in Paraguay and the birth of their four children, Ted and Karin made the decision to return to Canada in 2006. Over the years, he worked as a contractor, a truck driver, and a property manager.
Beyond his work, Ted was a man of many interests. Music was woven deeply into the fabric of his life. He especially loved classic rock and spent many hours playing his guitar and writing songs. As a teenager in Paraguay, he founded his own band, StrongWill—a fitting name for a man whose strength of character would become one of his defining qualities.
Ted was also an avid tennis player. Whether playing competitively or simply enjoying time on the court, tennis brought him energy, challenge, and community. He also loved hosting family and friends for asado.
In his final chapter, Ted faced cancer with extraordinary bravery. He fought with remarkable determination and strength. His wife and children often said that he was the strongest man they knew. He fought until his last breath, leaving behind a powerful example of perseverance and dignity.
Though his absence leaves a profound void, his legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the family he cherished, and the memories he created. He will be remembered for his love of family, his entrepreneurial spirit, his passion for music and tennis, his generous hospitality, and above all, his strength. While we grieve his passing, we also celebrate a man who was deeply loved and a faithful servant of Christ.
Forever in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 1:00pm at King Road Church, 32068 King Rd, Abbotsford, BC.
