It is with great sadness that we announce Willa's passing in Abbotsford Hospital. We will miss her and are content to know that she is resting in the arms of our Heavenly Father.

After High School Willa became a teacher. She went to CNC in Red Deer Alberta, followed by teaching for the Abbotsford Christian School and then Vancouver Christian School.

Willa was in Okinawa Christian School in Japan from 1970 to 1981. She taught on a USA military base and taught the children of the Military Staff. On returning to Abbotsford in 1981 where she taught at Abbotsford Christian School for a short time and finished working at the Open Door Daycare in the Abbotsford Nazarene Church.

Willa married Ernie Byggdin in 1992 until March 2006 when Ernie passed away.

She was able to play scrabble every afternoon with her sister Emily, right up to the end.

Willa leaves behind two sisters Emily McLeod - Abbotsford B.C. and Joan Greaves - Richmond B.C. many nieces and nephews and their children and Lorraine Seale - Edmonton AB.

Willa had a heart for kids and worked for years to encourage them to go to Sunday School. She truly loved her Heavenly Father and lived her whole life trusting in Him.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Willa at 2:00pm on Saturday July 5th at The Abbotsford Church of the Nazarene, 2390 McMillan Road, Abbotsford B.C.
