Beatrice Marie Love

Beatrice (Bea) Ellison Chambers Love, 84, left our world on Sunday, July 22, 2012 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2012, at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, Abilene, TX. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 to 8p.m. at the funeral home.

Born to Lucille and Clarence Ellison on October 2, 1927 in Sweetwater, TX. Bea graduated Abilene High School with the class of 1945. She married Thomas D. Chambers in Abilene on November 22, 1947. While Tommy served in the Navy for 27 years they lived in California, Illinois, Michigan, and Virginia. They returned to Texas upon Tommy's retirement from the Navy in 1971 and he passed away in 1989. Bea later married George A. Love on December 4, 1998 and they moved to Virginia Beach in 1999.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her first husband, Tommy.

Survivors include her husband, George; one daughter; two sons, Rusty Chambers and Casey Chambers and wife, Yvonne; daughter-in-law, Consuelo Chambers; two grandsons, Austin Chambers and Jared Chambers and wife, Stacey; great-granddaughter, Abigail Chambers; two sisters, Omadene Elliott and Delois Lambert; George's sons, Ed Love and wife, Anne and Kelly Love; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hendrick Hospice or Hospice of the Big Country.
