Berenice Marie Burt

A memorial service will be held at 1:00p.m., Monday, December 20, 2010 at the Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory Street, Abilene, Texas, with Pastor Rudy Fambrough officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home.

Berenice Marie was born on November 12, 1922 to Letitia (Rodenbough) and Guy Hosner in Michigan. She married Dale Allen Burt on May 18, 1946 in Michigan. In 1996, they moved to Abilene, Texas. Berenice was a postal clerk for the United States Postal Service for 10 years. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and crocheting. Berenice was a wonderful sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Ridgemont Baptist Church.

Berenice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one sister, Beverly Maxwell.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Burt and wife, Kathy, of Grand Ledge, Michigan and Randy Burt and wife, Christie, of Aledo, Texas; a daughter, Janet Burt of Georgetown, Texas; a sister, Marion Weigold of Cadillac, Michigan; grandchildren, Evan Burt and wife, Jamie, and Emily Daniel and husband, Bob; great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Ethan Daniel, and Delaney Burt; several nieces and nephews; extended family, Cory Alexander, Katy McDonald, Jackson and Samuel Alexander, Scott McDonald, and the Altieri family.
