Carole Hutchins passed from this earthly world to her long awaited Heaven on December 24, 2017 at 3:45p.m. Just in time for church with Jesus. Carole is remembered fondly of those she met. She had a ripple effect that will never be forgotten by those she came in contact with during her short life here on earth. Carole was blessed with a warm heart and soul and always saw the good in everyone. A quote that could sum up Carole, by Stephen Grellet - taped to the inside of one of the many bibles in her home says, "I shall pass through this world but once. Any good that I can do, or any kindness that I can show another human being, let me do it now and not defer it. For I shall not pass this way again." Carole showed her love in actions but also in writings. A handwritten spiral notebook of endearing memories and thoughts was left for each of her 7 grandchildren and her great-grandchild, whom she adored dearly. Carole was so selfless and giving always, even in her last time here, asking about the well being of others.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 47 years, Kenneth; a sister, Louise Ray; and a nephew, Russell Ellwood. Carole is survived by five siblings; Judy Eddleman of Houston, Velma Jo Black and Charlie Ellwood of San Angelo, Jim Black and Donna of Littlefield, TX, Dan Black and Karol of Hobbs, NM, and Sammy Black of Lubbock; children, Kenneth Weldon Hutchins, Jr. and Vanessa of Tuscola, TX, Kevin Hutchins of Tye, TX, Kyle Wayne Hutchins and Teresa of Baird, TX, and Kelly Sue Hutchins Strickland and Shannon of Hawley, TX; 7 grandchildren, Michelle Hutchins and husband, Kevin Winters of Abilene, Stephanie Hutchins of Abilene, Amanda Strickland and Kaitlynn Strickland of Hawley, Brittany Nelson, Tyler Hutchins and Addison Hutchins of Baird; one great-grandchild, Cason Hayden; and another one on the way.
