Dennis Lamar Willis

Dennis Lamar Willis, 20, died Thursday, April 14, 2011, in Abilene. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Ash Street Baptist Church with Rev. Crowder officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at Community Memorial Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd St., Abilene, TX.

Dennis was born on August 17, 1990 in Abilene. He loved to play basketball and football and his favorite team was the LA Lakers. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, but especially his daughter Eliza. Being around the other kids in the family was very important to him as well. Dennis could be counted on as being the one to come to if you just needed someone to listen.

Survivors include his girlfriend Lizet Valenzuela and his daughter Eliza Willis of Abilene; his mother Catherine Dorsey and his father Odis Willis of Abilene; sisters April Hunter, La Torry Willis, Sariyah Ashley Willis all of Abilene, Alexis Willis of Tyler, TX, Ashley Willis of Arlington, TX, and Kimberly Willis of Cisco, TX; brothers Darius Dorsey and Odis Willis of Abilene, Clifford Willis of Bakersfield, CA, and Darrell Willis of Graham, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
