Services celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the New Way Fellowship Baptist Church in Miami, FL.
Edwina was born on August 6, 1961 in Opa-Locka, Florida. She was one of five daughters born to her loving parents Lucious Charles Mobley and Irene Elizabeth (Campbell) Mobley. She grew up in Opa-Locka where she graduated from Miami Norland High School in 1979. She married her high school sweetheart in 1981 and became an Army wife. She followed her husband’s military career before settling back in Miami. During this time, she became a mother to her two children who she loved and guided, Chennel and Sean. She began her professional career as a Correctional Officer for many years until retirement. After retirement, she took her most rewarding role being a full time Grandmother. She loved her grandchildren and was extremely proud of them. She lived in several places with her daughter and family to include Germany, Virginia, Alabama and Texas.
As a child, the seeds of faith were planted in her life as the family attended Mt. Hermon A.M.E Church. As an adult, she attended Immanuel Temple. She was naturally creative and created many beautiful crochet pieces that will be treasured by her friends and family. Edwina will be remembered as a bright light who’s outgoing and warm personality changed whatever environment she was in. She always had something positive and uplifting to add to those she met and this made people fall in love with her very quickly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Esther Bloom.
She leaves to cherish precious memories, her husband, Eddie Lee Talley; her daughter, Chennel McClung and her husband Chris; son, Sean Talley; grandchildren, Sean Michael McClung, Aaron Elijah McClung, and Madison Irene Elizabeth McClung; her sisters, Charlene Mobley, Norma Mobley, and Kimberly Mobley; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
