Evelyn, 73, died Wednesday Feb 27, 2019 with her family by her side. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at New Beginnings United Pentecostal Church with burial following at 2pm in Breckenridge. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6 to 8pm on Friday evening at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy 277 South.
Evelyn was born June 19, 1945 in Breckenridge, Texas to Rev. ER and Earlene Givens as an only child. She attended Breckenridge ISD.
Ev was married to Randy Linn on Nov 18, 1974 in Amarillo, Texas. They were married for 44 years. Evelyn was a devoted pastor’s wife. She spent her entire life in the ministry. Her years were spent raising her children and then had a hand in the raising of her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, cooking big meals, fishing, going to garage sales, travelling with friends and family, and playing the piano or organ. She also loved working in the mission field in Mexico.
Evelyn is survived by her spouse, Randy; daughter, Tesha and her 2 children, Nathan and Sara; son, Mark and favorite daughter in law, Rebecca, and their 4 children, Seth, Grace, Malachi and Calah.
She is preceded in death by her parents Rev. ER and Earlene (Cooper) Givens.
