Frances Horton

Frances Horton, age 83, of Abilene, Texas has walked the path into Jesus' arms on November 5th, 2010. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with Rev. David Cason officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Frances was born September 23, 1927 to Dewey L. Hinkle and Jennie Wise Hinkle. On October 9, 1946, she married Jack D. Horton.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers and sisters, Margaret Hinkle, Harold Hinkle, Mae Chance, D. L. Hinkle Jr., Robert M. Hinkle, and Virginia Lou Ham; beloved son-in-law, Gerald Vinson, and brother-in-law, Bob Cook.

Survivors include loving daughters, Vicky A. Vinson and husband Joe of Castroville and Janet Vinson of Fredericksburg; son, Wayne Horton and wife Debbie of Abilene, and her beloved 10 grand and great-grandchildren; and sister, Jan Cook of Dudley.
