Gladys June Lee

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, Abilene. Burial will follow in the Clyde Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Gladys was born on September 25, 1923 to Andrew Randolph Warren and Mary Etta Franklen Warren in Clyde, Texas. She grew up in Denton Valley, graduating from Clyde High School. Gladys met Roy Edward Lee on September 6, 1942 at Mother’s Café in Clyde. They were engaged on January 2, 1943 and married on April 10, 1943. Gladys was employed at TIMEX and Texas Instruments, retiring after 35 years. She was a member of Clyde United Methodist Church. Gladys loved to sew and crochet and enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Edward Lee; and a son, Joe Eddie Lee.

Survivors include her sons, David Harold Lee (Donna) of Mansfield, Texas and Jim Bob Lee of Eastland, Texas; grandchildren, Chris Lee (Yvonne), Melissa Carmichael (Michael), Kasey Lee (Rebecca), Angelia Lee-Rodriguez (George), Tamera Perez (Tony), and Tyler Lee; great-grandchildren, Laura, James, Kyle, Kaylee, Briana, Hailey, Joshua, Ravenn, Xavier, Eleanor, Toni Faith, Crystalina, Sequah, Amree, Tyler Jr., and Ambrielle; and her brother, Don Warren of Odessa, Texas.
