Gregoria was born on October 23, 1946 in Sanderson, Texas to Manuel and Manuela (Madrid) Castro. She married the love of her life, Celestino Barron, on July 22, 1967 in Sanderson, Texas and they shared 52 years in love, laughter and life. She was a stay-at-home mom who loved to cook, especially tortillas, cookies, and loved to eat BBQ and ribs. She was a devout Catholic, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
Above all else, she loved her family (especially her grandchildren) with everything she had, and hearing her grandchildren sing or watching them perform and participate in anything brought her great pride and joy over the years. She also loved her 3-legged Chihuahua, Tito, and her Siamese cat, Precious.
The family would like to express their appreciation and extend a heartfelt thank you to Fresenious Kidney Care South location in Abilene, Dr. Allen Schultz and Hendrick Medical Center for the loving care given to Gregoria and her family during her illnesses.
