Janet Corley

Janet Corley, 52, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016 at her residence in Abilene, TX. Services will be 11:00a.m. Saturday July 23, 2016 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory St. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.

Janet was born October 22, 1963 in Bonham, TX to R.L. Clark and Una Jean Kennedy Clark. She attended public schools and graduated from Abilene High School in 1982. On February 3, 1983 Janet exchanged wedding vows with Edward Wayne Corley in Abilene, TX. She was an LVN and worked for the Taylor County Jail. She was loved by all that knew her and instilled faith and strength in her family by teaching them to take “One day at a time.”

Preceding her in death were her parents; and a brother, Ronald Clark. Survivors include her husband, Wayne Corley; her sons, Jeremy Corley and wife, Cassie Fletcher, and Dustin Corley and wife, Dannielle; brothers, Roy Clark and Robert Clark; a sister, Jennie Dudley; mother-in-law, LuJane Corley; sister-in-law, Michelle Corley; several nieces and nephews; and her faithful canine companion, Tigger.
