

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2012, at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, Abilene, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at a visitation at the funeral home following the service.
Jerry, an Anson native, was a pilot during WWII and a 1950 graduate of the University of Texas with a degree in Architectural Engineering. He opened Jerry Rosser Structural Engineers in Abilene in 1957 after serving as the chief structural engineer at David S. Castle Company. Jerry designed the structures of many Abilene landmarks including Cooper High School, First National Ely Building, the Abilene Public Library, McMurry University Hunt Gymnasium, and many schools. He was the chairman of the Abilene Planning Commission and served from 1974 to 1977.
Jerry Rosser is survived by his two children, Jan Craik and Guy Rosser; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
