

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene with Rev. Kevin Kennedy officiating. Services will be under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 15 from 4- 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
Jessie was born on May 11, 1931 in Windsor, Colorado to the late Elias and Concha (Marquez) Jojola.
He was born into a strong Native American heritage. He moved to the community in 1946. He married the late Cathy Jojola on April 29, 1978 in Abilene. He worked for D & W Furniture for many years. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church where he enjoyed the Christian fellowship. He joined the United States Army in 1952 and proudly served his country until 1954. He was a veteran of Korea. He was also a member of the VFW. Jessie was a loving, hardworking, and devoted family man. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and was very laidback. He enjoyed others and keeping himself busy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Jojola; parents; sister, Jennie Ortiz; and brother, Elias Jojola.
He is survived by his son, Chris Jojola and his wife Maricela; grandchildren, Clara, Marticia, and Anthony Jojola; 10 great-grandchildren; a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
