Judy Hackney

Judy Hackney, 64, passed on Sunday, November 9, 2014 in Abilene, TX. Graveside services will be held at 11:00a.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.

Judy was born on April 24, 1950 in Reedley, California to Mildred Sinclair. She worked 30 years for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a contract manager. Judy also did volunteer work at Spanish Oaks Hospice and Lutheran Services in Savannah, Georgia. She was a loving wife and mother and will truly be missed.

Preceding her in death is her mother, Mildred Sinclair. Survivors include her husband, Randy Hackney of Abilene; her stepson, Derek Hackney and wife, Sherry of Joliet, Illinois; her daughter, Heather Bays and husband, Robert of Stillwater, OK; three brothers, Jimmy, Joe, and Billy Corder; a sister, Vickie Creech; and six grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the South Taylor County EMS.
