The funeral service will take place at the same venue on February 2, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Julian Zamudio Jr., born February 7, 1968, in Del Rio, Texas, to Julian and Isidra Zamudio, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 26, 2026.
Julian was truly the life of the party, and no one was ever a stranger to him. He never met anyone he didn’t talk to. He had the biggest personality, a warm heart, and a special gift for making people feel welcome. He was a devoted fan of WWE wrestling, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Texas Rangers, proudly supporting his teams and sharing that passion with everyone around him. Julian also loved his beer; you would never catch him without one! If beer wasn’t allowed, neither was he.
His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy! He loved working with concrete, building things, and spending time outdoors with his music playing. If the sun was up, so was he.
Julian is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Alicia Zamudio; his son, Julian Zamudio III (Staci) of Abilene; his daughters, Felicia (Rosco) of Abilene and Rachael (Mark) of Rocksprings; and his cherished grandchildren: Julian Jayden (son), Noah James (Papa), Gia (little-little girl), Lyndsey Grace (his Gracie), Lilly (Cora), Jacob (big guy), and Frankie (his Rey). He is also survived by his brother, Manuel Zamudio; his sisters, Sylvia Zamudio, Mary Jane Zamudio, and Louisa Serrano; four uncles—Rudy, Ruben, Alfredo, and Robert; one aunt, Rosie; and countless nieces and nephews, whom he loved as his own.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his three brothers, Rudy Zamudio, Daniel Zamudio, and Luis Serrano.
Julian will be remembered for his bold personality, his endless conversations, his love of sports, and, most of all, the deep love he had for his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will live on in their hearts forever. His one request was simple:
“When I die, don’t cry for me, just drink a beer, turn some music on, and remember the good times.”
