Larry Dale Lain

Larry Lain, 45, passed away on September 24, 2012 in Abilene. Funeral services will be 2:00p.m., Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Community Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 1443 N. 2nd St., with Jackie Brem officiating. Burial will follow in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery, directed by Community Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5 to 7p.m. at the funeral home.

Larry was born September 23, 1967 to Billy and Lonnie Jordan Lain in Hamlin, TX. He attended Abilene High School and had recently worked for 2 years as a derrick hand in the oil field for UDI Drilling Corporation.

Larry had a witty sense of humor with a spunky and light-hearted personality. He never met a stranger and made everyone around him feel comfortable. Larry appreciated his family and bringing happiness to others. He had a great passion for adventure and for his motorcycle.

Larry was a member of Oak St. Baptist Church in Colorado City. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his father, Bill Lain of Coahoma; his mother, Lonnie Weems of Abilene; his fiancé, Andrea Harrigan of Abilene; his brother, Kenneth Lain of Abilene; and his sister, Donna Lowrance of Colorado City.
