

Lois Lusko, 90, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012, at a local medical center. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 Hwy 277 South with Rev. Mike Woodard officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
Lois was born September 7, 1921 to Bill and Bera Shockley Holloway, in Spur, TX. She graduated from Spur High School and then attended Cisco Junior College. Lois married Peter Lusko in Baton Rouge, LA on December 13, 1945 and moved to Abilene from New Orleans in 1954. She was employed by Citizen's National Bank for six years and then by the Abilene Women's Club for twelve years before retiring. Lois was also a charter member of Southwest Park Baptist Church.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Peter in 1976; a son, Andy Lusko; four brothers, Glen Dewayne Holloway, Bryant Holloway, Doyle Holloway and Calvin Holloway; two sisters, Mozelle Thomas and Frances Veazey; and a grandson, Sean Lusko.
Survivors include her sons, Roger Lusko of Abilene, and Steve Lusko of Liberty Hill, TX; a daughter, Bera Sue Blassingame of Abilene; two sisters, Jean Jones of Colorado, and Jane Colburn of Quitman, TX; two brothers, Max Holloway of Alvord, TX, and Neal Holloway of Alvord, TX; three grandchildren, Amber Kirton and husband, Wes, Kris Kelley and wife, Nikki, and Justin Kelley; great-grandchildren, Baylee Leach, Braden Kirton, and Amber, Jacob, Dylan and Layla Kelley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
