She was born in Hamlin, Texas on December 17, 1938 to Lloyd and Dru Bigham Warnell.Mary was a woman who was all about family. She was a devout wife, a good mother, and an even better grandmother and great-grandmother. In their younger years Mary and her husband Phil would travel around the world to visit their son Brad when he was in the military. When not at home with her family, she could be seen at her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. She was an avid Abilene Eagle’s football fan, but had to trade her precious black and gold in for red and blue and root for Jim Ned when her great-grandchildren started playing sports. When it was not sports season, Mary and Phil traveled the country with Good Sam’s RV club. The memories made over the years with her family will live on in their memories for years to come and put a smile on their faces in hard times.
Mary is survived by her children Vicki Johnson and husband Wayne of Quinlan, Brad Burkett and wife Tammy of Midland, and Blake Burkett and wife Julie of Hoisington, Kansas, as well as by her grandchildren Megan Walker, Brady Burkett, Lauren Burkett, Eric McKissack and wife Kami, Chad Johnson and wife Lynn, Justus Burkett, and Nicholas Johnson, and by great-grandchildren Breydon Walker, Rylee Wright, Jett Walker, Jackson Walker, Kody McKissack, Kyleigh McKissack, Kole Johnson and wife Christina, Trystinn Johnson and fiancé Caleb Williams, and Bryce Burkett.
