Mike Latimer

Michael Hunt Latimer, 80, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015. Funeral services will be 11:00a.m., Friday, December 4, 2015 at Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory St. with Pastor Dare Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be this evening, Thursday, from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.

Mike was born September 5, 1935 in the Post Oak Community of Jones County to the late Venton and Audie Latimer. He married Sandi Battles on December 26, 1941.

Mike was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His pride and joy was his grandchildren, Tucker and Erin.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Survivors include his daughter, Lori Sartor; two grandchildren, Tucker and Erin Sartor; and his brother, Wayne Latimer of Waxahachie.
