

Norma went to be with our Heavenly Father on April 13, 2013 after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. She passed away peacefully and will be missed very much, but will be our Saint watching over us. Norma was born on September 18, 1967 in Colorado City, Texas to her parents Ben and Mary Martinez. She attended schools in Colorado City and Abilene where she graduated from Abilene High School in 1986. Norma attended and graduated with a BBA Accounting degree at McMurry University.
She married Louis E. Flores III in Abilene in 1995. Norma was a self-employed Tax Preparer in Abilene for Flores and Flores. She was a loving wife, mother, friend, counselor, and loved her Church and family. Norma was an active member at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church and a fellow Crusillsta. She had many friends and always greeted everyone with a smile. Norma loved to watch her children play soccer, baseball, golf, and be with family and friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church, with Father Terry Brenon officiating. Burial will follow in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 5701 Highway 277 South, Abilene.
Norma was preceded in death by a brother, Freddie Martinez and a sister, Sally Martinez.
She is survived by her husband, Louis E. Flores III; children, Oriana, Maddie, and Louie IV, all of Abilene; her parents, Ben and Mary Martinez; brothers, Ben Jr, Tino, and Oscar, all of Abilene; and sisters, Lenore of Colorado City and Maghen of Abilene; grandmothers, Louisa Martinez of Abilene and Auroa Flores of Wotaga; and many, many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
