Sid was born on November 5, 1955 in Odessa, Texas to the late Sidey Allen Wright and the late Velva Lee Dale (Pilkington) Wright Knapp. Sid’s father passed before he was born and he became very close to his mother. His mother was the jewel of his life they usually spoke everyday if not multiple times a day. Sid grew up in Odessa Texas. He married Trudy “Carol” Wright on October 11, 1988. Together they shared many wonderful years together. One of Sid’s most precious memories was the birth of his three children. Sid spent most of his career working in the Oil Fields. Sid loved UFO’s and Big Foot. His love could have been described as an obsession. Sid will be remembered for his great sense of humor, and living a life of service, and praise to Jehovah God and Jesus. He had a very selfless side as well and would give you the shirt off his back. He enjoyed reading the Bible, drawing (watching his kids and grandkids draw as well), music, playing guitar and fishing. Sid also devoted a portion of his time to mental health groups.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sidney Allen Wright; his mother and stepfather, Velva and Glenn Knapp; and his step-son, Michael Duane Parsons.
He is survived by the love of his life, Trudy Carol Wright; his children, Amy Michelle Williams, Christy LeeAnn Boiles, and Shawn Kelly Wright; grandchildren, Breanna Rodriguez, and Audrey Brumfield; siblings, Johnny Wright, Frances Hill, Larry Wright, Stacy Wright, Karen and Glenn Knapp; a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews and special friends.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 at Sears Park on Ambler at 12:0 Noon at the East Pavilion. Everyone is welcomed to come and celebrate Sid's life.
