Susan Molina Sanchez

A visitation for Susan will be held Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM, at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Highway 277 South, Abilene, TX 79606. Mass of Christian Burial will occur Friday, July 18, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 837 Jeanette St, Abilene, TX 79602. Interment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 US-277, Abilene, TX 79606.

Susan Molina Sanchez was born June 21, 1959 to parents Rafael & Pascuala Dora Molina in Abilene, Texas. Susan graduated from Abilene High School. She went on to work for nine years at Texas Instruments, at Micrometals Inc, and Abilene State Supported Living Center, while being a dutiful Avon representative.

Susan married the love of her life, Richard Sanchez, in Baird in 1974. Their union was one of true love, friendship, and partnership. Susan was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and had a generous heart.

Susan fought a hard battle with renal failure with many complications. Despite the challenges of her illness, she remained positive, graceful, courageous, and faithful. Susan will be remembered for her love, humor, strength, kindness, and sweet smile.

She is preceded in death by her parents Rafael & Pascuala Dora Molina, husband Richard Sanchez, sister Linda Moreno, and brother Raymond Molina.

She is survived by her daughter Amy Sanchez & husband Ryan Lanham; son Christopher Sanchez; adopted daughter Julianna Victoria Molina Sanchez Bagwell & husband Ian Bagwell; granddaughter Maranda Rodriguez & great granddaughter Laylani Rodriguez. Surviving siblings are Rafael, Rudy, Victor and Richard Molina (Edeltraud) & sisters Christina Buckner (Alan) & Jessica Molina; many cousins, nieces & nephews who will forever cherish her memory.
