William Rhoads

He was preceded to eternity by his adored wife Camille and his father Stanley Rhoads. He is survived by his daughter Danae of Charlotte, his mother Audrey Rhoads, sister Ronna Garcia and brother-in-law Aurello Garcia. Also, by father and mother-in-law, David and Carolyn Mickey, sisters-in-law, Michelle Mickey and Cindy Schoonmaker (husband Brad), of Abilene, and sister-in-law Cathy Ballew (husband Trent) of Fairview, three nieces and seven nephews.

Bill was born in Eugene, OR on July 31, 1958. He began his undergraduate studies in Accounting at Oregon State and completed them at Abilene Christian University in 1980, and later earned his Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at ACU in 1994. He worked for numerous companies before joining Wachovia/Wells Fargo from 2003 to 2011. Bill was a man of deep humility and joy who was committed to his faith, family and friends. He valued serving others, education, personal excellence, and integrity. His life was one of practicing his faith in all facets of life. He was a wonderful devoted husband, marvelous father, splendid brother, faithful friend, and excellent professional. He loved to bring moments of happiness to others. He loved to celebrate every day as a new gift. He loved to laugh and provided encouragement by his kind smile. He was a gentle spirit. He loved seeing others succeed and grow. Bill’s life reflects a message of love, faith, and hope. He wants all people to know God’s faithfulness and that eternal life is found through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. During his brief battle with cancer, he continued his desire to have God glorified. His life is a testimony to the love of God. Blessed be the Name of the Lord.

A graveside service will be held at Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery in Abilene, Texas on
