Beloved and devoted husband of almost 60 years to Lynda. Loving father of Elaine Gillan (Greg Schilhab), Katherine Gillan (Berrick Mikalson), and Andrew Gillan (Stacey). Proud grandfather of Coral Schilhab, Austin Bartlett, Samson Gillan, Rachel Gillan and Cierra Gillan. Daniel will be dearly missed by his brother Terry Gillan (Ann) of Rugby, England, and by his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Maureen Gillan.
Daniel emigrated from Rugby, England, in 1968 and lived in Windsor (LaSalle) until moving to Milton in 2023. A skilled pattern and model maker who apprenticed in Rugby, he worked throughout his career in England, Michigan, and the Windsor area. He was immensely proud of his profession and the quality of his work.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill St. East, Acton, ON L7J 1H4. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 139 Martin St, Milton, ON L9T 2R3, on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow.
