Darlene (Munro) Taylor nee Nicholson passed away on Monday August 24, 2026, at the age of 84. A resident of Woodstock, ON with her late husband Paul Taylor (2021). Predeceased by her first husband Bob Munro (1975).
Loving mother of Robert S. Munro and his wife Kimberley. Cherished grandmother of Robert A.S. Munro. Step Mother of John Taylor, and the late Janet Taylor (2021). Step grandmother of Zachary, Mathew, Brody, Nicole, and great step grandmother of Summer, Carter, Jaxon, Kingston and Ellie. Dear sister of Scott Nicholson, Joanne McNamara and her husband Harold. Survived by nieces and nephews Tyler (Carrie), Jesse (Serena) and Wyatt.
Darlene grew up in Gravenhurst, after meeting Bob she moved to Toronto and raised her family. Moving to Acton in 1974, then Georgetown in 1980 before settling in Woodstock in 1986. Darlene was passionate about the Lord and creating a safe and wonderful environment for family and friends to visit and stay, in particular at Christmas time. Darlene loved to shop, she was a fashionista and the Shopping Channel (TSC) will miss her greatly.
Interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, 20 Cobblehill Rd, Halton Hills, ON, L7J 2S9 on August 31, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
