Dolores Marie Tyler peacefully passed away on August 17, 2026, at the age of 90. Dolores was the loving wife of the late Edward "Ted" Tyler (2019). Dear mother of Angela Ash (Jason) and predeceased by her eldest daughter Tracey Tyler (2012). Incredibly proud grandmother of Jayme and Austin Ash.
Born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, she moved to Kenilworth as a toddler. In 1955, she married Ted, making Acton her forever home where they built their home on Peel Street and raised their daughters.
She embraced Acton both in her family life, volunteer work, community involvement and as a business woman.
As Gramma though, Dolores glowed. From day one, she adored every moment with Jayme and Austin from tea parties to travelling together to Florida.
Dolores’ will be remembered for her being the epitome of a kind and gentle soul.
Her family is grateful for the exceptional long term care of Dr. Alter (Milton Cardiac Care), the compassion from the team at Milton District Hospital and the care she received at Amica, Georgetown.
Family will receive friends at MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill St. E., Acton, on Friday, August 21, 2026 from 4-7pm. Friends are invited to meet the family at St. Alban the Martyr Anglican Church, 19 St. Alban’s Drive, Acton on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 11am. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
