It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Earl Dane McCoy, on Monday, August 21, 2023, at The Elliott Community in Guelph. Survived by his wife Merina (nee Dance). Cherished father of Shawna (Bud), Kevin (Susan), Curtis (Cara), and Duane (Christine). He will be missed by his grandchildren Bradley (Julie), Spencer (Gianna), James and Adam, great grandchildren Mila and Eli, Step-grandchildren Brandon and Brittany; Isabelle, Sophia and Jacob. Survived by his brother Arnold (Teresa) and their family. Earl is predeceased by his brother Billy, and parents William and Lorene (nee Chamberlain).
Earl retired from Chrysler. Earl’s passion in life was cars…restoring, driving and racing. He was successful as a hobby car driver, along with his best friend Joe Nova. They owned a hobby car number 37 and 8. Earl was inducted into the Hobby Car Hall of Fame, in Toronto. Earl and his infectious laugh will be greatly missed.
Memorial Visitation will be held at Mackinnon Family Funeral Home 55 Mill St. E., Acton
on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 1 – 3 p.m. and 5 – 7 p.m.
A private family interment of cremated remains will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Acton.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Acton Food Share, would be appreciated by the family.
