With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John Edward Ahearn. Who passed away after a brief illness, at Milton District Hospital, on Thursday, September 14, 2023, age 71 years. John was a generous, loving man, with a big heart who cared deeply for his family and friends. He enjoyed both playing and coaching many sports like baseball, bowling and golf. He touched many people's lives with his supportive nature and could always bring a little humour to lighten the moment. But the thing he loved most about life was being a loving husband, father, and Papa.
He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years Cathie. His children Angela Mochrie (Edward), Adam Ahearn (Elizabeth). Grandchildren Alexander and Emmett Mochrie, Nicholas and Katie Ahearn.
Sisters: Marjorie McInnis, Florence Flynn (Wayne), Lorraine Ahearn, Brother: Russell Ahearn (Denise).
Brother in law Chuck Charlton (Gayle), and Sister In-laws: Dianna Hawton (Keith), Barbara Thompson (Frank). As well as his many nieces and nephews, and extended family.
He is predeceased by: his parents John and Violet Ahearn, Sisters Eileen MacInnes, Ester Cotton (Ernie), Brother Cedric (Diane) Brother In-law Bruce Boynton
Memorial Visitation will be held at Mackinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill St. E., Acton,
on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 5 – 7 p.m. Memorial Service to follow at 7 p.m.
