She arrived in Acton, Ontario from Italy in 1964, where she quickly made a home and became a valued part of the community. For many years, she worked at Marzo Glove Factory, retiring in 1993. Her strong work ethic, kindness, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
A woman of deep faith, she was a devoted Catholic who found meaning in her traditions, especially when surrounded by family. Her home was a place of comfort and joy — always filled with the aroma of homemade meals, the soft click of knitting needles, and the sounds of laughter during Sunday dinners and family get-togethers. Her Saturday night soups, home baking, and generous spirit in the kitchen brought everyone together.
An avid gardener, she grew enough vegetables to nourish not just her family, but the whole neighbourhood — and even the local rabbits. She loved to travel and found great joy in visiting Italy, British Columbia, and Montreal. Her legacy of love, family, and faith will live on in all who were blessed to know her. She will be missed by all friends and extended family. To most people she was known as Nonna.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the nurses, doctors, and personal support workers at Allendale for the kindness, compassion, and care they provided to our mother. Your support, warmth, and professionalism brought comfort not only to her, but to all of us during a difficult time. We are truly grateful for the respect and dignity you showed her every day.
