My sincere condolences to you Debbie and your large, loving family. Roger started working for grandpa in 1980 and dedicated the majority of his working life to Nellis Construction until his retirement in 2016. He moved our equipment, ran our equipment, fixed our equipment, and made us all smile and laugh without missing a beat. Whether he was starting early, working late, or both, Roger always got our machines to the jobsites and back to our yard safely. He made it look easy and did it all with a level of dedication second to none. Several years ago I was running a jobsite up in Palgrave and another contractor up there had seen how Roger maneuvered our long float around tight spots with ease. The contractor approached me and asked if he could rent Roger and our float to move his excavator for him into a tight spot on a rural property. It should be noted that he had his own float as well as his "A" licence, but knew his skill level wasn't in the same league as Rogers'. He later told me how he watched in amazement as Roger shoehorned the float and excavator backwards into that narrow driveway in one shot.
   Roger was like a member of our family and will be forever remembered for his wit, sarcasm and kindness.

Roger, you are So Loved by many. I believe you will be within our hearts forever & ever.  We have had many great times and you have a most loving family. I miss you as well and will always cherish having you in my life. Love always for you and Debbie and all your 2 generations of children! Imagine all their hearts are with you.
