The last time I saw my Aunt Susan was in September. My mom and I walked over with my little dog, Garfunkel.  This picture is from that day.  I think my love of animals comes from her.  Growing up, her pets, Goldie & Chuck, were the first animals I had in my life.  I loved my visits with her, and them, after school or at the cottage.  While now we mostly only saw each other around the holidays or on the occasional drop in visit with Garf,  growing up she was one of the four strong pillars in my life. The Grown Ups, along with my Mom and Dad and Uncle Ron, that were just always there, they made the hard decisions and knew what to do next.  Together, they shaped my childhood, my world view.  It is hard to believe that one of them is now gone. Aunt Susan, you are already so greatly missed.

Although I have not seen Susan for many years I will always  remember her fondly as a wonderful colleague & friend. Despite her beautiful, stylish physical appearance I recall so vividly, before taking this photo, Susan saying to me - in typical Susan fashion - "I must hide my fat hips!"

It is with great sadness that I learned Aunty Sue had passed. Only this year, we discovered our extended family and it is my regret that we did not take the time to speak. I am devastated that we will now, not have the chance. 

Aunty Sue’s half sister Freda Pruden (nee Radford), passed away earlier this year and Sue’s half brother Richard Frank Radford, passed away in 2015.

I’m sure Aunty Sue will receive a warm heavenly greeting when they are united in the spiritual realm.

I always thought my Aunt Sue, was related to Princess Diana, as she was full of grace, poise and was the classiest lady I knew.  My youth growing up with her, was filled with horror movies, ghost stories, Olivia Newton John records, Chips & Dip and reading. My heart will hold her close forever.

My aunt Sue was such a light in my life & for all those that were lucky enough to know her. I have so many wonderful memories with her from my childhood; of spending summers at the cottage, going to broadway shows, family gatherings & much more.
