He was predeceased by his beloved wife Rose Payer (1991), and his parents George and Mae Fountain.
He will be missed by his siblings: Marjorie and her husband Jack McKinney of Toronto, George Fountain and his wife Donna of Caledon, Tom Fountain and his wife Linda of Acton, Sandra and her husband Ray Harding of Bloomfield, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Wes will be remembered for the poetry he wrote and as a dedicated volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels.
The family will receive friends at the MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill Street East, Acton on Sunday, June 17th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
The Funeral Service will be conducted in the Shoemaker Chapel on Monday, June 18th at eleven o’clock.
The interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
