Born on May 20th, 1991, to Wajih Nisar and Nisar Ahmed, Zoya was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
Zoya is survived by her parents; sisters, Javeria, Aliza and Komal; brother-in-laws, Troy, Dejan and James; nephews, Theodore and Marcus; and her cat, Kyo.
She loved listening to music of all genres and enjoyed playing both the piano and flute. She found joy in drawing, playing Heroes of the Storm, feeding squirrels in the neighbourhood park, and spending time with her friends. Godzilla, The Lord of the Rings and Star Wars were her favourite movies.
From a very young age, Zoya deeply cared for everyone around her. She had unmatched compassion and empathy for others. Zoya left behind a lasting impression on all whom she met.
A private service will be held in Pickering on January 9th, 2026. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Forests Canada.
